Oracle, is a natural science store, opened since 2013, featuring framed insects, bones, unusual taxidermy, beautiful memento mori pieces, and oddities. We strive to acquire humane taxidermy and share a passion for the unique and strange side of the natural world. This thoughtfully curated shop is for lovers of the odd, beautiful, and the bizarre along with a place to learn and delve deeper into the unknown. Meet the Team:

We are a tiny team of 3! Everyone doing a little bit of everything from prepping specimens, entomology, taxidermy, and display. Oracle’s owner, Alessandra, is our Entomology, Bone, and Pet Memorial Specialist, winning the 2019 World Taxidermy Championship for skeletal articulations. She teaches most of our Entomology classes and hosts our Bug Club tutorials on instagram. Alessandra developed her fascination with insects and the natural sciences as a child. She would walk down to the Insectarium and Olympic Gardens of Montreal, Canada and day-dream about spirits and monsters as a mad scientist. Today, she's still dreaming up monsters through her ink-blot art, but with a Bachelors degree in Printmaking and Psychology, we're pretty sure she isn't “mad.” While she spends her days at Oracle, the rest of her time is split between working as an Artist Assistant at Staab Studios, a Pet Memorialist, and as a hobbyist Arachnologist.
